Role-based instructional design

As instructional designers, we all have unique strengths that we bring to the field, diverse perspectives on what instructional design is, and different ways to approach design projects or an instructional design project workflow.

This survey allows instructional designers to reflect on their practice and make some difficult reflective choices. What do you truly value in this work? What type of work gives you the most energy? Does that align with your current role?

The survey uses a lot of complex variable calculation on the back end to help tabulate the scores.

The Survey is from Hokanson, B., Miller, C., & Hooper, S. (2008). The Role-Based Design: A Contemporary Perspective for Innovation in Instructional Design. TechTrends 52(6):36-43.
